Quilling course

Quilling course

Quilling, also known as paper filigree, is a decorative art that involves rolling, folding and shaping strips of paper to create designs and decorations. Here's an overview of how to start a quilling course and some suggestions for the materials you need:

Introduction to Quilling

Required Materials

  1. Paper Strips: They are available in various widths and colors. You can buy them pre-cut or cut them yourself with a cutter.
  2. Quilling Tool: It is a tool with a slot at the end for inserting and rolling paper strips.
  3. Glue: White glue is ideal for quilling.
  4. Toothpick: To apply glue precisely.
  5. Work mat: A surface where you can work without getting dirty.
  6. Tweezers: For manipulating small pieces of paper.
  7. Quilling Template or Ruler: Help create uniform shapes.

Basic Techniques

  1. Roll: Insert a strip of paper into the quilling tool and roll tightly. Release the pressure to obtain the desired size and glue the end.
  2. Shape: Shape the rolled coils into different shapes such as circles, teardrops, ovals and hearts.
  3. Combining: Combining different shapes to create more complex designs.
